Two Brewers

Chipperfield

Dating back to the 18th Century and in a truly picturesque setting overlooking the 115 acre common in the tranquil village of Chipperfield. Originally bought as the middle one of three cottages, it was from the outset a popular Inn with locals, the open fireplace and the stone-floored Tap Room offering a welcome haven after a long day’s work in the fields.

The Two Brewers acquired a certain fame as training quarters for many of the great prize-fighters of the day like Jem Mace and Bob Fitzsimmons who sparred in the old Club Room and took their runs round the Common.
