Facelift for The Old Mill
31 May 08
The Old Mill hotel in Baginton, next to the Old Mill Chef & Brewer pub, has been redeveloped as a Good Night Inn, a new hotel brand launched by owner The Spirit Group.
Following the launch at the 26-bedroom hotel in Baginton, the brand will be rolled out across 50 of the chain’s venues.
Spirit Group spokesman Christina Panayi said: “The Old Mill has been refurbished in keeping with the historic and quality feel of the site. As a Good Night Inn, the new look hotel features upgraded king size beds, en-suite bathrooms, plasma TVs, tea & coffee making facilities and WiFi coming soon.
“The Old Mill will fit into the ‘heritage’ style of the Good Night Inns brand. The rooms have been decorated in a contemporary way”.
The Old Mill pub, on Mill Hill, which employs 35 people, has also introduced entertainment including murder mystery nights and a new menu, featuring locally sourced produce.
General manager Tony Murphy said adapting to change and introducing entertainment had helped the pub in a difficult time for the industry following the smoking ban.
